Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Service Technician to join our team at BD Holt Company. As a key member of our shop team, you will be responsible for performing inspections, diagnoses, and repairs of diesel-powered heavy equipment and related components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions
  • Disassemble and assemble machine components
  • Rebuild, repair, recondition, and maintain equipment and components
  • Provide excellent customer service and support
  • Plan and control cost of repair jobs
  • Complete parts orders and identify parts for return
  • Mentor and train other technicians
  • Maintain all equipment and work areas
  • Work safely at all times
Requirements
  • At least two years of diesel-powered heavy equipment repair experience
  • Ability to read and use schematics and diagrams
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduation from a diesel technology program
  • Ability to operate a forklift and an overhead crane
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time
  • Frequent movement and use of limbs
  • Ability to ascend and descend ladders and equipment
