Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and enhance internal controls related to financial reporting and compliance initiatives.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, collaborating with control owners to strengthen compliance measures.
- Develop and maintain partnerships to effectively execute the annual controls strategy.
- Conduct thorough assessments of process areas to identify risks and implement appropriate controls.
- Advise on the design and execution of compliance programs and internal controls.
- Provide continuous support to process and control owners, ensuring effective implementation of controls.
- Engage in annual reviews with process owners and external auditors to assess control effectiveness.
- Assist in evaluating control deficiencies and monitoring remediation efforts.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in finance or a related analytical field.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related discipline.
- Preferred: CPA certification.

Preferred Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of internal control frameworks, particularly COSO, to evaluate control design and operational efficiency.
- Familiarity with GAAP research tools and the FASB codification.
- Experience in accounting management within a Big Four firm, serving Fortune 500 clients.
- Proven ability to research and document support for accounting conclusions.
