Job Summary

We are seeking a Certified Peer Specialist to join our Behavioral Health team at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals. The successful candidate will provide services and resources to individuals and families to promote rehabilitation, recovery, and resiliency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and provide services to individuals and families to promote rehabilitation, recovery, and resiliency.
  • Identify and address the strengths and barriers that aid or impede the development of skills needed for independent functioning in the community.
  • Support individuals and families in crisis situations and provide personalized interventions to develop, facilitate, or enhance an individual's ability to make informed and independent decisions.
  • Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Certified Peer Specialist recognized in the State of NM.
  • Valid New Mexico Driver's License.
  • UNM Vehicle Operator's Permit.
  • 1 year directly related experience.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment and be subject to random alcohol and substance testing.
