Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team at the CHA Obstetrics & Gynecology Center Somerville. As a key member of our clinical team, you will provide patient-centered care to a diverse population with OB and GYN needs in a culturally competent environment.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct patient-centered histories and obtain initial physical data, including vital signs and weight.
  • Utilize evidence-based ambulatory care nursing interventions during clinical visits, telephone encounters, and electronic communications.
  • Administer medications and immunizations according to hospital policy and procedure.
  • Collect specimens and perform routine laboratory tests on samples.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot temperature tracking systems and equipment.
  • Oversee supply and equipment ordering, coordinate equipment kits for procedures, and assist with procedures.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of the interdisciplinary plan of care.
  • Document patient information and communicate with the healthcare team.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited licensed practical school of nursing.
  • MA LPN licensure required.
  • Maintains current Basic Life Support certification.
  • Knowledge of a second language preferred.
