Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dosimetrist to join our team at Ascension Wisconsin. As a Dosimetrist, you will play a critical role in developing and administering radiation therapy treatment plans under the direction of medical physicists and radiation oncologists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement radiation therapy treatment plans to deliver precise doses of radiation to defined tumor volumes.
  • Assist with or perform the application of specific methods of dosimetry, including intercavitary and interstitial brachytherapy procedures.
  • Provide technical support for radiation protection procedures and qualitative machine calibrations of equipment.
  • Maintain radiation safety for self, co-workers, and patients in accordance with NRC guidelines.
  • Assist physicists in the design and implementation of research activities and perform special projects related to dosimetry.
Requirements
  • Medical Dosimetrist credentialed from the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
