Ascension Wisconsin is seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team at Elmbrook Memorial Hospital in Brookfield, WI. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in administering radiation therapy to patients with cancer, working closely with physicians and dosimetrists to deliver high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities- Administer radiation therapy to patients with cancer, ensuring accurate and safe delivery of prescribed doses.
- Prepare and position patients for treatment, selecting anatomic parameters accurately.
- Collaborate with physicians and dosimetrists to develop and deliver patient treatment plans.
- Maintain detailed records of all therapy sessions, ensuring compliance with regulatory agency standards.
- Operate and maintain linear accelerators and other equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards, including submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms.
- BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date required.
- Radiation Therapist credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
