Nutrition Care Specialist

At ECU Health Medical Center, we are seeking a skilled Nutrition Care Specialist to join our team. As a Nutrition Care Specialist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of evidence-based nutrition practices.
**Job Summary:**
The Nutrition Care Specialist is responsible for providing direct, quality patient-centered care, with proficient clinical nutrition skills and knowledge base. This includes planning and delivering nutritional care plans for patients throughout their lifespan, in accordance with physicians' diagnoses, regulatory agency requirements, and analysis of evidence-based literature.
**Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality patient care through effective communication, empathy, and compassion.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Analyze data and trends to inform performance improvement initiatives and optimize patient outcomes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and evidence-based practices in clinical nutrition.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, adhering to ECU Health's policies and procedures.
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Dietetics or Food and Nutrition or related field.
- Successful completion of Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) approved dietetic internship or equivalent AND practicum experience.
- Zero years of experience as Registered Dietitian Nutritionist.
- RDN, LDN, or successful completion of RDN exam and obtain NC License within 3 months of hire.
**Salary Information:
We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits include comprehensive health insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
