The organization is expanding beyond Amerant Bank Arena through the renovation of the FTL War Memorial in downtown Fort Lauderdale. This state-of-the-art ice facility will feature two regulation-size rinks, including a new team practice rink with stadium seating, and a 4,000-capacity music theatre for live entertainment. Job Title: Audio-Visual Support Specialist

Job Summary:

Technical support for audio and video systems during Florida Panthers Hockey games and various events

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set up and dismantle audio-visual equipment for hockey, basketball, functions, concerts, and events.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of sound system configurations for events, meetings, and press conferences.
  • Knowledge and operation of wireless microphones (RF), including handheld and lavalier types.
  • Setup and operation of hockey scoring systems, OES controllers, goal lights, and basketball shot clocks.
  • IMAG setup, screens, projectors, and interfacing with clients and in-house functions.
  • Camera setups for game days, ClearCom intercom experience, and management of all TVs and menu displays in the arena.
  • Provide technical support for NHL, Bally's, ESPN, game presentations, and sponsor requirements.
  • Coordinate with part-time A/V staff, providing instruction, direction, and training.
  • Ability to work at any or all of our properties as required.
Qualifications:
  • Understanding of audio signal flow in a typical sound system; experience with Dante, Crestron, and Q-SYS is a plus.
  • Excellent cable management, labeling, and organization skills for A/V equipment.
  • Experience using tools, drills, mounting hardware, cable construction, forklifts, scissor lifts, and ladders for TV installations and other projects.
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness in work, with clear and informative writing skills.
  • Able to interpret drawings, blueprints, and functional setup instructions.
  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred but not required; 2 years of telecom experience is also preferred but not required.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:This is a non-exempt (hourly) position. Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
