The Senior Systems Engineer plays a pivotal role within our IT department, ensuring our team members have reliable access to a wide range of computer systems with high availability, operational stability, and secure access. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of various standard business systems and is suited for individuals who are inquisitive, driven, and detail-oriented.
Key Responsibilities:System Management- Design, implement, manage, and enhance our physical server infrastructure.
- Design, implement, manage, and enhance our virtual server environments.
- Design, implement, manage, and enhance our telecommunications systems.
- Research and integrate new technologies into our operational framework.
- Oversee and address issues related to our data centers.
- Manage and enhance our Active Directory domain.
- Manage and enhance our Microsoft 365 environment.
- Oversee core enterprise services, including email, document storage, file sharing, and FTP.
- Provide support and guidance related to your areas of expertise.
- Manage, update, and patch systems within your scope.
- Ensure data security through backup and replication processes.
- Assist in the design, support, testing, and validation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Ensure comprehensive monitoring and reporting for all systems.
- Document all systems and maintain continuous updates.
- Implement logging and alerting mechanisms for system oversight.
- Conduct audits for compliance, patch levels, OS versions, and overall system health.
- Investigate issues and provide technical insights to team members.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary to achieve the overall objectives of the position.
Qualifications:Required:- A minimum of seven years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of VMware and Microsoft enterprise environments, including Windows Server, PowerShell scripting, SCCM, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and GPOs.
- A valid driver's license.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited institution.
The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $140,000 annually. At Pacific Seafood, your base salary is part of a comprehensive compensation package that includes:
