Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Payer Access Strategist to join our team. This individual will serve as the subject matter expert on payer coverage and drug reimbursement, partnering with both the HealthTrust pharmacy sourcing team and directly with members to create contracting strategies and tools that consider the implications of payor coverage and reimbursement on purchasing habits.

Responsibilities
  • Provides leadership in managed care to contribute to the GPO's overall strategic plan
  • Assesses and provides leadership in payor policies, reimbursement, and coverage to guide and support organizational strategy
  • Analyses financial and clinical data to make strategic recommendations and execute a course of action for pharmaceutical savings opportunities and clinical standardization
  • Reviews data and evaluates trends in reimbursement published by CMS
  • Conducts reimbursement analyses to drive sourcing initiatives and create new sourcing projects
  • Evaluates and reports on payer coverage of key drugs
  • Maintains lists of drugs with statuses that impact reimbursement
  • Develops member-facing reports to assess the impact of reimbursement changes
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in healthcare, preferably in supply chain, value analysis, purchased services, and/or sourcing with pharmacy service line knowledge and experience
