Position Summary:

The Hardware Technician will play a crucial role in the assembly, configuration, upkeep, and diagnostics of hardware systems utilized in various IT infrastructures and networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the assembly and configuration of hardware systems, ensuring all components are integrated and connected as per technical specifications.
  • Install and terminate cabling for facility interconnections in accordance with established design guidelines.
  • Support the identification and resolution of hardware component and subsystem issues.
  • Document and provide insights to enhance the configuration management process during system buildout and integration tasks.
  • Help in planning schedules, delegating tasks, and tracking progress to ensure timely completion of integration and testing activities.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to specify and select appropriate hardware solutions.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment while maintaining comprehensive records of all maintenance activities.
  • Assist in property management tasks, including inventory and audits.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Educational Qualifications:

Associate Degree or higher in a relevant technical discipline.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years in hardware and systems support.
  • Capability to obtain a TS/TCI clearance.
  • Proficient troubleshooting abilities.
  • Experience in terminating various cable types.
  • Hands-on experience in building and configuring hardware systems.
  • Strong organizational skills for maintaining records and schedules.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Physical ability to lift and transport equipment weighing over 30 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in laboratory and industrial settings.
  • Must be able to stand, kneel, and work in confined spaces.

Desired Skills:

  • Possession of an active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Familiarity with configuration management processes and documentation change protocols.

Note: The selected applicant must possess an active Secret security clearance and must be a U.S. Citizen.
