Position Overview:

Our esteemed client is seeking a dedicated IT Quality Assurance Technician to join their team. Below are the essential details regarding this role:

Contract Details:

  • Duration: 3-6+ months, with potential for extension or permanent placement based on performance.
  • Location: Candidates must be based in South East Florida and available for full-time in-office work.
  • Compensation: $30-34 per hour, W2, commensurate with experience.

Role Responsibilities:

As an IT Quality Assurance Technician, your primary focus will be on conducting validation testing for public safety applications. Your efforts will ensure that modifications to the application and its supporting systems do not compromise the quality of the deployed solutions.

This role necessitates close collaboration with engineering and development teams to uphold high standards of quality, ensuring that customer expectations regarding availability, performance, and usability are met or exceeded.

Key Duties Include:

  • Reviewing and analyzing system specifications.
  • Collaborating with engineering and development teams to devise effective testing strategies and plans.
  • Executing test cases (both manual and automated) and meticulously documenting and analyzing results.
  • Reporting defects to engineering and development teams and assisting in their resolution.
  • Evaluating new or updated product/system code against specifications to validate quality and functionality.
  • Engaging with end users during user acceptance testing (UAT) to confirm that software and systems meet customer requirements.
  • Creating logs to document testing phases and defects.
  • Assisting in troubleshooting issues as they arise.
  • Conducting post-release and post-implementation testing.
  • Working with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong familiarity with the Windows platform.
  • Experience in testing web-based applications.
  • Understanding of ITIL processes.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance testing.
