Senior Construction Estimator

At Ten Solutions, we are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Project Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have industry experience in civil or marine engineering, or heavy construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and compile estimate data to ensure a high-quality and timely estimate.
- Review drawings, specifications, and proposed project site conditions to record findings and solicit input from field operations.
- Analyze alternative solutions and construction methods to increase the competitiveness of the bid.
- Present estimates and participate in bid reviews with senior management to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Communicate with owners, subcontractors, public and private entities to ensure competitiveness.
Requirements:
- Degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related work experience.
- 8+ years Estimating experience with industry experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office; AGTEK Take-off and Primavera Scheduling software; Estimating software including HCSS Heavy Bid or similar.
- Advanced knowledge of agency (U)DBE requirements; Comprehensive understanding of civil construction industry practices and standards.
What We Offer:
- A full-time position managing the estimating process, and working with the Chief Estimator.
- Work is based out of the Plantsville office in Connecticut.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- US Citizenship.
Industry Experience Clarification:
The client wants an estimator who has worked in the industry, NOT an Engineer who has done estimating for the projects they worked on unless the Engineer held the title of an Estimator in their previous employment.
