Pharmacy Technician Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our Triage team at Consonus Pharmacy Services. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in building partnerships with clients, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring efficient handling of information.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Communication: Build a positive and professional rapport with clients through inbound communication, ensuring their needs are met and concerns are addressed.
  • Triage and Problem-Solving: Triage information to correct internal avenues, ensuring efficient handling of information in a timely manner, and help problem-solve to answer client questions and build relationships.
  • Training and Development: Train to be an expert in pharmacy processes and various EMR software programs, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
  • Customer Service: Provide a high level of customer service to physicians, clients, and other internal/external customers, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
Requirements:
  • Education and Certification: High school education or equivalent required, with Pharmacy Technician Certification and 1-year experience working in the healthcare field preferred.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Knowledge of prescription and/or medical terminology required, with ability to become a National Certified Pharmacy Technician.
  • Work Experience: 1 year customer service experience required, with proficiency in computer skills and strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong organizational and analytical skills required, with ability to actively contribute to a positive team environment and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
