Adult Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner/Case Manager

This position reports to the University Director of Student Health Services (SHS) and provides on-site primary care, including in-depth health assessments and treatments for common mental health problems of students. Clinical decision-making for identified health problems is done in consultation with a backup physician following jointly agreed-upon written practice protocols.
Key Responsibilities- Provide ongoing follow-up for health problems, including formal and informal health teaching and counseling about mental health issues with students.
- Provide emergency health care to students.
- Practice in accordance with approved nursing practice as established by the NJ Board for Nursing.
- MSN with specialization in psychiatry, mental health, adolescent nursing, or substance abuse.
- Minimum four years of experience providing individual and/or group mental health or addiction treatment services.
- Minimum three years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Administrative experience in a community health care, hospital, or college setting.
- R.N. with current NJ license.
- Current New Jersey Prescriptive Authority license.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Current CPR certificate or willingness to obtain.
- Current certificate in a related specialty area or eligibility for certification preferred.
- Experience working with university or college students preferred.
- Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check.
- Hours Worked: 16 hours a week.
- Wednesday (11-7) and Thursdays (11-7).
