Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Oncology team at UT Health North Campus Tyler. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, education, and support to patients and families affected by cancer.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Administer medications and treatments, and deliver population-specific competent nursing care in accordance with UTHSCT's policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Perform technical procedures and skills in the specialty area of oncology, including the administration of medications and treatments specific to cancer care.
  • Provide basic patient and family instruction and healthcare teaching.
  • Promote positive guest and patient relations, respect and support patient rights, and maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
  • Prioritize and organize work to ensure required assignments are completed within a specified time frame.
  • Attend and participate in unit meetings and activities, and support the philosophy and goals of the unit, department, and organization.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Registered Nurse program.
  • RN with clinical experience in oncology preferred.
  • RN with experience in a clinic setting preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • EMR experience.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment and medical equipment.
  • Advanced, specialized nursing skills as appropriate to the nature of medical activity.
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of all protocols and procedures within the specified clinic environment.
