HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital is seeking a Medical Technologist PRN to join our team. As a Medical Technologist PRN, you will be responsible for performing laboratory tests and procedures in various departments, including Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Blood Bank, Serology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, and Microbiology.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct complex analysis of microscopic, immunologic, biologic, bacteriologic, hematologic, and chemical tests and their results.
- Receive and process specimens, and put away supplies when received in the department.
- Troubleshoot and resolve instrument problems, and document corrective action in appropriate logs.
- Ensure quality control is properly performed and logged, and follow proper department procedure for corrective action.
- Train new employees and/or students, and actively participate in phlebotomy and accession responsibilities.
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Sciences or related field.
- Medical Technologists (MT) registry or eligible.
- ASCP or equivalent certification preferred.
HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital is a 238-bed acute care hospital serving Bay County and the surrounding communities. We offer comprehensive care, including advanced cardiac assessment and treatment, certified women's services, and pediatric emergency services. Our hospital is accredited as a Comprehensive Breast Care Center and is the area's only Accredited Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI and Resuscitation.
