MV Transportation is seeking a highly skilled Fleet Maintenance Manager to oversee the day-to-day maintenance of our fixed route bus operation.
Responsibilities:- Manage all maintenance aspects of the operation, ensuring contractual requirements are met.
- Develop and implement daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports to track maintenance progress.
- Manage a budget for the maintenance program and ensure effective use of resources.
- Lead a team of 10+ employees, including fleet technicians, service workers, and cleaners.
- Coordinate with clients and vendors to ensure smooth operations.
- Track and control parts inventories, vendors, and suppliers.
- Prioritize, implement, and manage work schedules, projects, and assignments.
- Manage the financial and accounting aspects of the fleet maintenance operation.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of staff in written and oral formats.
- Ensure technical competence with light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicle repair and preventive maintenance.
- At least 5 years of experience managing maintenance functions in a transit bus maintenance shop.
- Experience managing/directing a team of 10+ employees.
- Experience working with 50+ buses within the last year.
- Previous passenger transportation experience in a similar environment.
- Ability to manage and interface with clients.
- Ability to track and control parts inventories, vendors, and suppliers.
- Ability to prioritize, implement, and manage work schedules, projects, and assignments.
- Ability to manage the financial/accounting aspects of a fleet maintenance operation.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff in written and oral formats.
- Technical competence with light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicle repair and preventive maintenance.
