About the Role
Silver Hill Hospital, a leading institution in mental health care, seeks an experienced Residential Counselor to join our residential programs team. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients while being part of a dynamic team.
Annual Salary Range: $55,000 - $70,000.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensuring Patient Safety: Manage the admission process to create a secure and therapeutic environment for patients.
- Treatment Plan Implementation: Facilitate patient engagement and participation in their treatment plans, identifying areas for improvement.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of patient interactions, medication administration, and other relevant data.
- Team Collaboration: Foster effective communication with the treatment team to guarantee cohesive patient care.
- Skill Development: Provide coaching and guidance to enhance patients' skills and promote self-sufficiency.
- Crisis Management: Develop strategies to mitigate crisis situations and ensure patient well-being.
Desirable Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in psychology or a related field.
- Previous experience working in behavioral health settings.
- CPR BLS certification obtained upon employment and prior to patient care duties.
