Cashier Job Description

The Cashier position at TASTE is the face of our company - you will interact directly with our customers in all aspects of the store, providing exceptional service consistently by:

  • Operating the register, taking orders accurately, politely and enthusiastically, while ensuring transactions are settled correctly
  • Helping customers over the phone and in store, with extensive knowledge of our menu and catering offerings
  • Helping with on-the-fly needs of customers and team members
  • Working with other front of house staff and back of house staff to ensure all orders are delivered to customers quickly and accurately

Requirements

  • Must have reliable transportation

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, stretch, crouch, twist and turn during all hours of each shift
  • Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel and crouch while also being able to lift and move up to at least 30 pounds, but occasionally up to 50 or more pounds
  • Must be able to use hands and fingers to handle and/or feel items and product, and to use the register and phone systems; must be able to reach with hands and arms between 6-72 inches
  • Must be able to talk and hear from far away and in close proximity
