Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Community Health Programs Inc. as an Ambulatory Care Specialist. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Triage patients by telephone or walk-in to determine the urgency and level of care needed.
  • Assist physicians in all procedures requiring nursing level support, including administering immunizations and allergy shots.
  • Manage requests for prescription medication, process laboratory results, and chart all procedures performed.
  • Assist with running daily controls on equipment, charting for quality assurance, and ensuring that billing codes are correct.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing.
  • A minimum of three years' experience in an ambulatory setting, preferably with electronic medical records experience.
  • CPR certification is a plus.
  • Licensed as a practical nurse by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Competencies
  • Ability to interact with others with tact and diplomacy, treat others with respect and consideration, and contribute to a positive team spirit.
  • Respond appropriately to patient needs, manage difficult or emotional patient situations, and solicit feedback to improve performance.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work well under pressure, and complete tasks correctly and on time with limited supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Spanish speaking/bilingual is a plus.
