At Intuit, we are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Data Architect Lead to join our AI team.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a talented individual to design and build AI systems that directly impact hundreds of thousands of our customers. As a Strategic Data Architect Lead, you will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying machine learning models in AI native applications using both analytical algorithms, deep learning, and Generative AI approaches.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive architecture decisions and contribute to the development of ML platform strategy.
  • Create a multi-year vision that aligns product strategy with technology strategy.
  • Practice excellent leadership and communication skills to influence and lead teams and promote AI adoption across the organization.
  • Lead team members' work in one or more areas such as ML, NLP, Statistics, or Optimization, and perform hands-on work in these domains.
Requirements:
  • PhD/MS in Engineering Mathematics, Statistics, Theoretical/Computational Physics, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Solid knowledge of statistical techniques.
  • 3+ years of experience as a lead in a data science role or a management position in data science.
  • Strong communication skills and proven experience as an influencer at the executive level.
  • Hands-on programming experience in one or more areas such as ML, NLP, Statistics, or Optimization.
  • 6+ years of experience manipulating large datasets and using databases (e.g., R, SQL, S-Plus, etc.).
  • 6+ years of experience with a general-purpose programming language (e.g., Python, Scala, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • PhD in Engineering Mathematics, Statistics, Theoretical/Computational Physics, or related field.
  • Expert knowledge and hands-on experience in one or more areas such as ML, NLP, Statistics, or Optimization.
  • Expert knowledge and hands-on experience with ML pipelines, processes, and design patterns.
  • Computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, performance complexity, and implications of computer architecture on software performance.
  • Software engineering fundamentals: version control systems (i.e., Git, GitHub) and workflows, and ability to write production-ready code.
  • Proven track record of influencing business leaders to shape mission-critical projects.
  • Proven track record of leading teams to successful delivery of ML solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively contribute to technical teams and make presentations to various technical and business personnel.

Estimated Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 per year.
