Opportunity:
  • Full-time commitment
  • Shifts as assigned
  • This role is essential in supporting the Pre-Anesthesia Clinic, aimed at enhancing patient health prior to surgical procedures. Responsibilities include conducting in-person assessments, virtual consultations, and reviewing medical records. The Nurse Practitioner will independently evaluate and manage health concerns for patients scheduled for surgical interventions, adhering to relevant state and federal regulations and nursing standards.
  • Experience in both general medicine and surgical settings is preferred
  • Skills and Abilities:
    - Proficient verbal and written communication skills
    - Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently with minimal oversight
    - Consistent and punctual attendance at the designated work location
    - Effective interpersonal skills for collaboration with various departments and the public
    - Competence in utilizing personal computers and relevant software applications
    - Commitment to ongoing professional development and teamwork to enhance patient care quality
  • Physical/Mental/Environmental Requirements:
    - Capable of standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, and stretching frequently
    - Adequate physical agility and reaction time to respond promptly to patient care needs
    - Sufficient hearing and visual acuity, including color vision
    - Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination necessary for patient handling
    - Proficient in using proper body mechanics for patient mobility assistance
    - Adherence to standard precautions due to potential exposure to bodily fluids
    - Effective communication skills through reading, writing, and verbal interactions
    - Ability to lift up to 75 pounds as needed
    - Occasional use of personal computers required
