Role Summary:
The Department of Surgery at the University of Illinois Chicago is seeking two full-time vascular surgeons to enhance the surgical team at a Level 1 Trauma Center. This role is integral to the ACGME accredited general surgery residency program. The primary objectives include broadening elective surgical practices, delivering high-quality patient care, and actively participating in the education of medical students and surgical residents. Faculty appointments will be associated with the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction to medical students, residents, and fellows in the field of Vascular Surgery.
- Deliver comprehensive clinical care to patients.
- Engage in clinical research initiatives.
- Fulfill designated administrative responsibilities.
Applicants must possess a strong foundation in clinical vascular surgery, having completed an ACGME accredited vascular surgery fellowship, and be board certified or board-eligible in vascular surgery. The vascular surgeons in this position may also participate in academic and research activities at the University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System, located nearby.
