Job Summary

The Affiliated Sante Group is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Peer Recovery Specialist to join our team. As a crisis intervention specialist, you will play a critical role in providing support and guidance to individuals in crisis, working closely with our Mobile Crisis Team to ensure seamless care coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to Safe Station requests to engage consumers in crisis
  • Develop and implement crisis plans to ensure continuity of care
  • Collaborate with Mobile Crisis Team to provide comprehensive support
  • Participate in warm handoffs to treatment providers as needed
  • Follow up with consumers to ensure ongoing support
  • Communicate effectively with law enforcement and first responders
  • Conduct community outreach and education
  • Assist in performing danger assessments, crisis assessments, and environmental assessments
  • Effectively perform crisis intervention, including de-escalation and crisis planning
  • Design and implement referral recommendations using available community resources
  • Address diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and elderly individuals
  • Work with families and involved parties to de-escalate situations and develop crisis plans
  • Document interactions using CRS procedures
  • Participate in and complete required trainings
  • Provide education and support to the community about our agency and services
  • Check work email at the beginning and end of each shift
  • Provide mentoring and support to interns and new staff

Requirements:

  • Peer recovery certification or willingness to obtain within one year
  • At least 3 years in full recovery and 5 years lived experience
  • Some college preferred
