American Family Care Bridgeport is a prominent provider of primary and urgent care services across the United States, operating seven days a week on a walk-in basis. Our advanced facilities are dedicated to the prompt treatment of acute medical conditions, workplace injuries, and occupational health needs. Each center is equipped with an in-house laboratory and x-ray services to facilitate immediate care.

Position Summary

The LPN will assist in patient care by delivering general nursing services within the urgent care framework.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial assessments of newly registered patients
  • Guide patients to appropriate examination rooms and prepare them based on their presenting complaints
  • Collect and process biological samples as required
  • Administer wound care and perform electrocardiograms when necessary
  • Support physicians in patient management as needed
  • Adhere to established medical protocols and procedures
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of post-graduate experience as a licensed practical nurse, with a minimum of 1 year in an emergency care setting
  • Current CPR certification
  • Knowledge of universal precautions, HIPAA regulations, and OSHA standards
  • Strong teamwork abilities, excellent verbal and written communication skills, adaptability in various situations, and outstanding client interaction capabilities
