About the Aftermarket Support Trainee Program
The Aftermarket Support Trainee Program is designed to offer selected candidates a unique opportunity to gain practical experience, hands-on training, and theoretical knowledge necessary for providing exceptional support to our customers post-product delivery. Successful completion of the program may lead to a permanent position based on departmental needs.
Program Duration
This program spans one year, with approximately 168 out of 250 working days dedicated to on-the-job training within various work cells. The remaining time will involve collaboration with product support specialists, field service technicians, and the RGA team. At the conclusion of the program, trainees will return to their designated work cell and may be available for an AMS role.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee assigned cases in SFDC until resolution, coordinating with both technical and commercial teams as necessary.
- Deliver technical support to customers and sales representatives via phone and email, ensuring clear communication.
- Collaborate with the Product Support Administrator to process orders for replacement parts and manage RMAs for returned items.
- Initiate and manage Upgrade/Retrofit projects.
- Facilitate customer calls with technical resources within the organization to resolve reported issues, documenting discussions and action items.
- Generate Continuous Improvement Initiatives for recurring or critical safety concerns.
- Participate in after-hours support rotation with other Product Support Specialists.
- Contribute to New Product Development teams, representing the Aftermarket Support Plan.
Apprentice Responsibilities
Participants in the program agree to adhere to the following commitments:
- Perform assigned aftermarket and related duties to the best of their abilities.
- Respect company property and comply with all organizational policies.
- Attend and successfully complete required classroom instruction, achieving a minimum grade of 'C' in all coursework.
- Maintain accurate records of work experience and training undertaken.
Qualifications Required:
- Associate's Degree in Electronics or equivalent experience.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt as necessary.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel as needed, potentially on short notice, with travel requirements up to 10% of the time.
- Demonstrated focus on results, with the ability to handle diverse challenges and make critical decisions.
Work Schedule
Classroom instruction will occur on designated days, while on-the-job training will primarily take place during first shift hours.
Educational Assistance
Any external coursework required will be covered through the educational assistance program, adhering to its policies and regulations.
Attendance Expectations
Regular attendance at all classes is mandatory, as outlined in the course syllabus. Progression in the program is contingent upon maintaining a satisfactory attendance record.
Repayment Guidelines
Any repayment obligations will be determined by the Educational Assistance Program.
