The Licensed Vocation Nurse (LVN) is a vital member of our multidisciplinary team, providing exceptional care to pediatric patients from infancy to 21 years old. As an advocate for patients and families, you will work collaboratively with our team to achieve quality outcomes using a family-centered care philosophy.
Responsibilities- Supports the Plan of Care: Provide continuity of care by supporting the plan of care and working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.
- Performs Routine and Clinical Tasks: Perform routine and clinical tasks, obtain patient information, remove casts, and assist with minor outpatient procedures.
- Takes Measurements and Vital Signs: Take measurements and vital signs of patients and document in the computer.
- Performs Clerical Tasks: Perform clerical tasks, including correspondence, appointment notices, copying, filing, and other duties as assigned.
- Assists with Procedures: Assist physicians, nursing, and other healthcare professionals with procedures, intake, and departure processes.
- Accurately Documents Findings: Accurately document findings during the intake process in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Communicates Effectively: Demonstrate open, accurate, and timely communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure effective therapeutic interventions, integration of services, and continuity of patient care.
- Initiates and Participates in Consultative Relationships: Initiate and participate in consultative and collaborative relationships to enhance patient care.
- Demonstrates Respect and Sensitivity: Demonstrate respect for the dignity and privacy of each patient/family, and sensitivity to the various ethnic and cultural differences.
- Maintains Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality concerning patient/hospital/employee information.
- Required: LVN License in CA, BLS/CPR, COVID-19 vaccination and booster shot.
- Preferred: PALS, 1+ years of pediatric ortho, burn, or rehab experience.
