Job Title: Quality Manager

CoorsTek is seeking a highly skilled Quality Manager to join our team. As a Quality Manager, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of quality control programs to ensure the production of high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and analyze statistical data to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy of finished products.
  • Formulate and maintain quality control objectives and coordinate objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
  • Direct, through intermediate personnel, workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products.
  • Develop and implement methods and procedures for monitoring work activities, such as preparation of records of expenditures and progress reports, in order to inform management of current status or work activities.
  • Plan, promote, and organize training activities related to product quality and reliability.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems or assist employees in solving work problems.
  • Interpret company policy to employees and enforce company policy and practices.
  • May investigate and adjust customer complaints regarding quality.
  • Support and create effective teams, units, and environments.
  • Impact and promote organizational strategy and vision.
  • Create linkages for employees on how they impact business strategy.
  • Complete objectives through supervisors or managers or senior exempt specialists who have significant latitude.
  • May set direction for a major, multi-functional unit or department.
  • Responsible for unit/department for budget, schedules, and planning.
  • Understand and meet or exceed quality standards; seeks to minimize error rate.
  • Assist in recruiting, hiring, training staff, evaluating employee performance, and recommend or initiate promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts. Support and help to implement new ideas.
  • Effectively give and receive feedback.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field, Engineering or technical degree preferred, plus 5 years related work experience or 10 years related work experience.
  • Extensive managerial experience preferred.
  • Manufacturing experience highly preferred.
  • Preferred industry experience in Medical, Aerospace & Defense, and/or Automotive.
Preferred Certifications:
  • ASQ
  • Certified Lead Auditor
Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Possesses skills with Quality Management systems, Quality Engineering (ASQ certification preferred) and project management.
  • Proficiency with FAI/PPAP, FMEA, and Process Control Charts.
  • Preferred experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Knowledge of structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, DMAIC, Root Cause Analysis) to drive continuous improvement and resolve complex manufacturing issues.
  • Minitab/JMP experience highly preferred.
  • Requires extensive expertise of knowledge in the specified area.
  • Ability to perform detail-oriented tasks utilizing high language skills and high math skills.
  • Employs high written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds.

Target Hiring Range

Annual Salary:USD 95,000 - USD 125,425.00
