Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to join our team at Montgomery County Public School. The successful candidate will provide support to our speech-language pathologists in the assessment and treatment of students with communication disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer screening protocols to identify students with communication disorders
  • Transport students to/from testing or therapy areas
  • Administer therapeutic treatment protocols written by the speech-language pathologist
  • Communicate with students and other professionals to meet the emotional needs of students
  • Manage behavior using appropriately designed management techniques
  • Summarize and record target behaviors during therapy sessions
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Speech/Language, Speech Pathology, or Communications Disorder
  • Professional understanding of speech/language disorders
  • Thorough knowledge and ability to administer appropriate speech/language tests and support materials
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with technology
  • Ability to be dependable and punctual
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with students with disabilities in preschool through high school
  • Experience in delivering speech therapy services within an inclusive environment
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is $31, $55,876.06 annually. Montgomery County Public School offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as retirement savings options.
