About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead our growing development team. As a key member of our technical leadership team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day workflow of the development team, partnering with senior product managers and business partners to manage the development pipeline, and overseeing software development, code reviews, and platform architecture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the development team's workflow and ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Collaborate with product managers and business partners to prioritize development initiatives and manage the development pipeline.
  • Oversee software development, code reviews, and platform architecture to ensure high-quality and scalable solutions.
  • Enhance and maintain the testing pipeline and deployment strategies to ensure efficient and reliable deployment of software.
  • Teach, mentor, and manage software developers to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
Requirements

We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled Software Engineering Manager with a strong background in full-stack development, software design, and development in a test-driven environment. You should have a proven track record of managing engineering teams, leading initiatives on engineering best practices, and staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends.

Key qualifications include:

  • 8+ years of experience in software development, particularly in full-stack roles.
  • 2+ years of experience managing engineering teams of 5+ employees.
  • Experience with software design and development in a test-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in at least one of the following languages: Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript (React, React Native, Next.js).
  • Ability to learn new languages and technologies, staying at the forefront of development languages and frameworks.
  • Comfortable supporting business-critical applications on a public cloud provider.
