Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse II to join our team at UNC Health. As a key member of our Emergency Department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide High-Quality Patient Care: Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Develop and Implement Education Programs: Participate in the development and implementation of education programs to promote patient and family education and empowerment.
  • Contribute to a Positive Work Environment: Foster a culture of respect, empathy, and open communication, and contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to improve patient satisfaction and employee engagement.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
  • Licensure/Certification: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina and Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
  • Experience: One (1) year of nursing experience.
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
