This role is pivotal in providing expert mental health support and services to our diverse student population within the Buffalo City School District, fostering an environment where young minds can thrive both emotionally and academically.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide brief interactions with students, linkages with families, assessment, screening, crisis intervention, referral, linkage with community-based programs, on-going individual and family psychotherapy where indicated, consultation, and technical assistance with educational staff.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing school-based mental health services to children with serious emotional disturbance and/or at risk of such disturbance and their families.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Healthcare Provider as defined by the NYS Mental Hygiene Code (LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMHC-P, etc)
  • One year of paid full-time post Master's experience in a child mental health agency (this may be substituted with one year of field practice in an agency specializing in child mental health)
  • A valid NYS Driver License and access to a vehicle to make home and community visits
  • Proficiency in MS Office products
What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary and an array of employee benefits, including medical, dental, company paid vision and life insurance, 401(K) with company contributions, 10 paid holidays, and generous paid vacation and sick time.
  • Salary starting at $46,800 - $50,700 annually ($24.00 - $26.00/hour) depending on education, experience and credential.
  • Earn up to $5,000 in sign on bonuses.
