Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at UnityPoint Health. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient care, including vital sign collection, preparation for examinations, and minor surgical procedures.
  • Perform clinical tasks, such as tracking follow-up appointments, scheduling referrals, and completing necessary forms and requisitions.
  • Provide patient education and support, answering questions and addressing concerns in a compassionate and professional manner.
  • Document patient information accurately and efficiently in our electronic health record system.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Current CMA certification from a recognized organization.
  • Mandatory Reporter certification and CPR certification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to understand and apply guidelines, policies, and procedures.
