RIS I is responsible for the delivery of regional IT services to the end user. We offer support to end user devices including desktops, laptops, workplace peripherals, and voice and video devices. We support local and campus area networks, including wireless and cable plant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide senior level Information Technology (IT) hardware engineering analysis and support, focusing on the desktop computing architecture for user devices, system configuration, testing, and integration.
  • Collaborate with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Value-Added Resellers (VARs) to prepare hardware specifications based on system requirements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including engineering plans, technical design packages, functional and performance test plans, site installation, and test reports.
  • Develop standardized configurations and field troubleshooting methods for end user computing devices and peripheral equipment.
  • Assist in the preparation of status reports and provide leadership to junior engineers and systems administrators.
  • Develop technology insertion plans to introduce new technologies and coordinate service improvement activities across people, processes, and technologies.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience as an IT engineer, specializing in the analysis of hardware systems for IT solutions.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field from an accredited institution is required. However, relevant experience may be substituted for the degree.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills are essential, as the role involves coordinating with team members from project management, security, asset management, customer service, or help desk departments to solve problems and manage projects.
