Job Title: Corporate Security Manager

Golden 1 is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Security Manager to lead our security team in protecting our employees, assets, and members. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing security strategies that align with our corporate objectives and risk management strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement security strategies that align with corporate objectives and risk management strategies.
  • Lead and manage the corporate security team to ensure the efficient and safe operation of our physical security program.
  • Administer all aspects of physical security necessary to protect our employees and assets, including executive protection, threat management, and security systems and equipment.
  • Manage security threats by identifying, assessing, reporting, and mitigating threats of violence.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive training programs and awareness initiatives for branch and headquarters personnel on preventing and managing bank robberies and hostile takeovers.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of state and federal laws and regulations related to credit union compliance.
  • Foster a positive and engaging work environment for each team member by promoting skill development, coaching for improvement and growth, and inspiring others through your words and actions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice or comparable discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Six years or more of progressively responsible management experience within a financial institution overseeing Physical/Corporate Security, Threat Management, Risk Management, or Loss Prevention.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, leadership skills, and knowledge of automated data base programs, financial calculators, facsimile machine, personal computer, and related software.
  • Proven ability to successfully lead cross-functional, enterprise-wide projects.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged sitting throughout the workday with regular mobility required.
  • Corrected vision within the normal range.
  • Hearing within normal range. A device to enhance hearing will be provided if needed.
  • Occasional movements throughout the department daily to interact with staff, accomplish tasks, etc.
  • Carry and respond to mobile phone seven days a week, including off hours.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) preferred.
  • Possession of a valid California driver's license is required.
