Job Title: MRI Technologist

Integris Health Southwest Medical Center, Oklahoma's largest not-for-profit health system, is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join our team in Oklahoma City, OK.

Job Summary:

The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing complex and technical imaging procedures, adhering to National Patient Safety Goals, and providing exceptional care to patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform all body imaging and diagnostic procedures involved in MRI
  • Assist/perform in equipment calibration and quality control procedures in a timely manner
  • Position/transfer patients in a timely manner, maintaining their safety and physical requirements
  • Assist radiologists with in-depth procedures
  • Explain procedures to patients and answer their questions
  • Provide radiology support in all imaging modalities
  • Administer radiographic contrast in accordance with physician requests and departmental policies
  • Complete initial IV setup prep for IV insertion for scan procedures, including IV prep, insertion, and positioning
Requirements:
  • Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • Current certification by the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required within 12 months of hire
  • Current CPR certification required within 90 days of hire
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal/written)
Work Environment:

The MRI Technologist will work in a fast-paced environment with moderate exposure to hazardous risks, including potential for exposure to infections and communicable diseases, blood and body fluids, radiation, electrical equipment, and chemicals.

Universal safety precautions will be followed at all times. The position requires constant interruptions, noise, disagreeable odors, and assorted chemicals.
