Position Overview
As a Cloud Engineer at Avid Technology Professionals, LLC, you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the creation and enhancement of cloud-based tools.
- Facilitating the migration of data to our cloud environment.
- Supporting the ongoing development of our cloud infrastructure.

Essential Qualifications:
- Proficiency in AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and Python.
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in software development and engineering, covering requirements analysis, installation, integration, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem resolution.
- At least four (4) years of experience in high-level programming languages such as Java, C, or C++.
- Three (3) years of experience in software development for Windows or UNIX/Linux operating systems.
- Experience in software integration and testing, including the creation and execution of test plans and scripts.
- Familiarity with OpenSource NoSQL products that cater to distributed computing needs, such as Hbase or Big Table.
- Demonstrated experience with the Map Reduce programming model and technologies like Hadoop, Hive, and Pig.
- Knowledge of the Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS) and serialization formats like JSON or BSON.
- Experience in developing RESTful services and in the design of Object-Oriented systems.
- Proven ability to integrate and extend FOSS/COTS products.
- Strong technical writing skills, with a history of producing technical documentation for software projects.
