Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Park Ranger to join our team at the City of Farmington. As a Park Ranger, you will be responsible for enforcing park rules and regulations, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring the safety and well-being of park visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce park rules and regulations, including citation writing and court appearances
  • Patrol parks and the downtown district to prevent vandalism and ensure public safety
  • Provide excellent customer service to park visitors and respond to their concerns
  • Work collaboratively with other city departments and agencies to achieve common goals
  • Perform shift work, including evenings, nights, and weekends
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Excellent public relations skills and ability to handle difficult situations
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience in law enforcement or a related field is preferred
