Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at Think Whole Person Healthcare. As an Ultrasound Imaging Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic medical sonograms to ensure accurate and appropriate imaging information for use in diagnosis and treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform various sonographic procedures for ultrasound diagnosis using pre-determined protocols.
  • Prepare room, equipment, contrast media, and supplies necessary for each procedure.
  • Provide explanation of procedures and assume care of the physical and psychological needs of the patient while in radiology.
  • Obtain clinical information and indication for all sonograms. Document appropriate patient history and clinical data as indicated into the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Radiology or a related field, required.
  • Completion of a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program (CAAHEP) accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of ultrasonography, or comparable work experience in the practice specialty of abdomen and OB/Gyn required.
  • General and Vascular sonographer certifications required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in Ultrasound Technology required.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
  • This role operates in a healthcare setting.
  • Must be able to:
    • Stand 55% or longer of an 8-hour workday.
    • Walk 35% of an 8-hour workday.
    • Sit 10% of an 8-hour workday.
    • Lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Requires employee to: Bend, squat, kneel and reach above shoulder level occasionally.
  • Requires repetitive use of hands for: Simple grasping, fine manipulation, computer use
  • Requires all sensory skills (speech, vision, smell, touch, and hearing) corrected to near normal range.
