Overview of Emergency Medical Services

As a Critical Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in emergency situations using advanced medical procedures. This role requires collaboration with healthcare professionals and leading paramedic teams to deliver vital assistance during emergency calls.

Educational Requirements and Qualifications
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, and some past work experience in healthcare is preferred.
Salary Information

The estimated annual salary range for this position is $56,241 - $106,485 per year, based on the hourly rate of $27.14 - $51.08 (DOE), making it eligible for bonuses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess each call situation and determine the best course of action.
  • Utilize skills on medical equipment and procedures.
  • Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance.
  • Lead paramedic teams and take responsibility for scene and unit management.
  • Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
  • Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.

  • Maintain AMR's image through community programs and establish strong community relations.

  • California Drivers' License
  • Ambulance Driver's License from DMV
  • Medical Examiner's Card from DMV
  • State of California Paramedic License
  • CPR Card (American Heart Association)
  • ACLS Card (American Heart Association)
