Job Opportunity

Marine Spill Response Corporation is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our oil spill response team, you will be responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance on small vessel engines and oil spill response equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on small vessel engines and oil spill response equipment.
  • Conduct equipment diagnostics to identify and repair issues.
  • Work in a team environment to support oil spill responses and exercises.
  • Participate in on-the-job training to advance your skills and career.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Possess or ability to obtain a TWIC card and Passport, US Coast Guard MMC, and complete 40 Hour HAZWOPER training.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with USCG vessel inspection process.
  • Experience with small diesel and gas engine repair, small vessel maintenance, and equipment diagnostics.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The position will be performed indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
