Job Overview

Barrett Petfood Innovations is seeking a skilled Mill Quality Technician to join our team on a weekend shift. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our pet food products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular checks and tests on ingredients and products to ensure compliance with food safety and customer specifications.
  • Monitor and enforce plant sanitation policies, GMPs, HACCP, and allergen control methods.
  • Prepare and maintain plant documentation, including records and reports.
  • Collaborate with plant employees to promote a culture of quality and safety.
  • Identify and address any quality or safety issues that may arise during production.
Requirements
  • Basic math, biology, and chemistry knowledge.
  • Ability to lift up to 45lbs and stand for long periods.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a dusty environment and climb ladders.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with quality control software.
