Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and driven Welding and Machining Supervisor to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in our fast-paced manufacturing setting, ensuring that our high standards of quality are consistently met. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in welding and machining and will be responsible for overseeing a team of skilled professionals. Collaboration with other departments will be essential to ensure efficient production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage a team of welders and machinists, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and meeting productivity and quality benchmarks.
2. Develop, implement, and refine welding and machining procedures to enhance efficiency and quality.
3. Mentor and train team members to improve their skills and performance.
4. Collaborate with other departments to facilitate smooth production operations.
5. Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials and supplies.
6. Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to maintain optimal performance and safety standards.
7. Identify and resolve issues related to welding and machining processes.
8. Maintain accurate documentation of all welding and machining activities.
9. Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations and industry standards.
10. Participate in budget planning and cost management for the welding and machining department.

Qualifications:

1. At least 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically in welding and machining.
2. Proven expertise in machine programming and experience as a manufacturing engineer.
3. Advanced understanding of welding and machining principles, techniques, and safety regulations.
4. Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
6. Ability to train and develop team members effectively.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Comprehensive knowledge of quality control principles and practices.
9. Proficient in operating various welding and machining equipment and tools.
10. Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards.
11. Capacity to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
12. High mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
13. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
