Job Title: HVAC Service Technician

At Uniproair Inc, we are seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team. As an HVAC Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Interaction: Communicate with customers to explain system issues, repair options, and maintenance procedures. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer concerns, answering questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Installation and Maintenance: Install HVAC systems, including air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, and ventilation systems. Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems, including cleaning, adjusting, and lubricating parts.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose HVAC system issues and determine appropriate repair solutions. Repair or replace defective components, such as motors, thermostats, and compressors.
  • System Testing: Test HVAC systems for proper operation and efficiency. Use diagnostic tools and equipment to measure airflow, refrigerant levels, and electrical components.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Adhere to OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of services performed, including work orders, maintenance logs, and repair reports. Complete service reports and provide detailed summaries of work completed to customers and supervisors.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory of HVAC parts and supplies on service vehicles. Order and restock parts as needed to ensure availability for repairs.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry advancements, new HVAC technologies, and best practices. Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance technical skills.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all work meets quality standards and customer expectations. Conduct final inspections to verify that HVAC systems are functioning correctly.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience as an HVAC service technician.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
  • EPA certification for handling refrigerants is required.
  • Physical ability to perform manual work, including lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces.

Work Environment:

  • Work is performed in residential and commercial settings, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions and temperatures.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and climb ladders or scaffolding.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
