SpaceX is seeking a highly skilled Test Automation Engineer to join our team. As a Test Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining automated test infrastructure for our Dragon spacecraft.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop modular, reusable test and automation software in Python and similar languages for verification of integrated Dragon flight systems.
- Propose and execute automation infrastructure enhancements to improve reliability and efficiency of vehicle operations and test campaigns.
- Help triage test anomaly escalation and implement corrective actions to ensure mission success.
- Develop full stack web applications to audit vehicle checkouts status and automate recurring engineering tasks.
- Drive long-term solutions for technical problems in collaboration with a wide range of engineering staff and highly skilled technicians across multiple sites.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or computer science.
- 1+ years of experience in a test and/or automation engineering role.
- Preferred skills and experience include a master's degree in engineering or STEM discipline, experience in automated control and monitoring of complex systems, and proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C#.NET, Go, Scala, Java, or similar object-oriented language.
