Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

The role involves the precision cutting of plastic components utilizing powered machinery, either at a designated sample assembly area or on the production floor as part of a collaborative assembly team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

  • Punctually reporting for duty at the start of each shift and after breaks.
  • Setting up, operating, and fine-tuning machinery, which includes changing saw blades and adjusting guides to meet specified dimensions.
  • Cutting components to meet established quality standards to fulfill customer requirements.
  • Utilizing electric buffers, wire wheels, files, knives, and scrapers to ensure a precise fit between parts.
  • Demonstrating the ability to communicate effectively in English for safety compliance.
  • Inspecting, measuring, and weighing materials to ensure they meet quality specifications.
  • Documenting cutting details accurately.
  • Identifying and discarding defective or substandard materials.
  • Reviewing work orders, blueprints, and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.

REQUIREMENTS

To excel in this position, candidates must be capable of fulfilling each essential duty effectively. The following qualifications are essential:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Proficiency in reading and writing in English, along with the ability to understand basic instructions.
  • Competence in basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure and measure to 1/16".

Shift Options: First Shift - 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Second Shift - 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM (includes a shift differential in addition to base pay)
