Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Traveling Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team at Great Expressions Dental Centers. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our experienced dental team in delivering top-notch services.

Responsibilities
  • Assist dentists in providing patient care, preparing treatment rooms, and ensuring a clean and organized environment.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care.
  • Support dentists during procedures, anticipating their needs and ensuring smooth workflow.
  • Perform basic dental procedures under the guidance of a licensed dentist.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and maintain patient records accurately.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of previous dental assisting experience or relevant education is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, compassionate demeanor.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in dental software and technology is a plus.
State Requirements
  • Connecticut: certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays.
  • Florida: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit to expose X-rays).
  • Georgia: CPR Certification, Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification, and proof of formal training to expose X-rays.
  • Massachusetts: CPR Certification, proof of formal training to expose X-rays, BORID certification and annual CE requirements must be completed per state regulations.
  • Michigan: Upon hiring, you are required to furnish evidence of X-ray training certification. If you do not possess certification at the time of hiring, you are granted an 8-week period to submit it.
  • New Jersey: Proof of X-ray training.
  • New York: Not applicable.
  • Ohio: Proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit to Expose X-rays)
  • Texas: CPR Certification, TSBDE: TX State Board of Dental Examiners.
