Job OverviewArmand Corporation, a leading construction management firm, is seeking a skilled Fire Protection and Plumbing Specialist to join their team in Jersey City, New Jersey.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in building fire protection and plumbing codes and systems, as well as a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related field.

This full-time position will be on-site, and candidates are expected to live in or near the Jersey City, New Jersey area.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Collaborating with various department divisions to review and maintain fire protection and plumbing compliance for tenant projects and design audits.
  • Administering the filing of Tenant Alteration Applications (TAA) in physical and digital formats.
  • Performing calculations on hydraulic calculations as necessary per project specifications.
  • Providing daily reports on ongoing projects to Design Standards Unit Manager, Tenant Architect/Engineer, and other managerial staff across all phases of engineering design process.
  • Assessing any issues that arise in technical records and providing proper resolution to ensure workflow is maintained.
  • Additional duties as necessary.
Requirements include:
  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in building diverse fire protection and plumbing codes and systems.
  • A Professional Engineer's License in the state of New York and/or New Jersey.
  • A strong understanding of fire protection and plumbing disciplines related to building design and construction of transportation and related facilities.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office, Autocad, Bluebeam, ProCore, Adobe Acrobat, and other relevant construction software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
