Join Our Team as a Caregiver/Direct Support Professional

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Caregiver/Direct Support Professional. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

About the Role

As a Caregiver/Direct Support Professional, you will be responsible for providing support and assistance to individuals with daily living tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. You will also be responsible for creating and implementing daily routines, taking clients to visit family and friends, and encouraging socialization among peers.

Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with daily living tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Create and implement daily routines for clients
  • Take clients to visit family and friends
  • Encourage socialization among peers
  • Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up
  • Transport clients in personal vehicle and reimbursed for mileage
  • Report any incidents or problems and communicate daily with administrators
Requirements
  • 1 year experience preferred supporting adults with developmental disabilities
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have a California Driver's License
  • Candidates must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including but not limited to a background check
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) (Preferred or willing to obtain within the first 6 months of hire)
  • Must have First Aid / CPR
